The Torres Family has been making wine in the Penedes region of Spain for 145 years! They have expanded their holdings and production with the succession of each generation and now make wine not only in their home base of Barcelona but all across Spain, Chile and California. They are proud, well-educated and committed to making great wines. This week we are spotlighting the affordable, entry level line of Spanish wines, all made from fruit sourced in Catalonian vineyards. These wines are well made and delicious and go well with a multitude of foods. They make perfect “house wines” for you and I. The Viña Esmerelda is a delightful riff on Muscat. If you would like a drier version of everyone’s favorite aromatic varietal, come give this a try!-Bill The Wine Guy
