The hits just keep on comin’! We’ve got more French releases hitting the Top Ten shelves, this time in the style of the cult classic region of Burgundy. Birthplace of the world’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it can be a tough club to bust into (especially on your wallet). But the slightly more southernly line from Les Allies is the perfect opportunity for a more accessible toe-dip. Grapes from southern regions of France develop a touch more ripeness and accessibility while preserving a Burgundian sense of minerality and structure. All you lose is that steep price tag.

Les Allies Chardonnay
From the value palace region of Gascony, this Chardonnay is fresh and racy with lemon oil, delicate lemon balm florals, mandarin, salted cashew, and a silky, persistent texture. Perfect for those who enjoyed a crisp-white summer and need something a touch more substantial for the changing seasons — especially on the food front!

Les Allies Pinot Noir
A Vin de France champ, this is a French Pinot to make converts of California all day. Very subtle on the characteristic French earthiness, the nose is upfront and buoyant with dark berries, Bing cherry, and a touch of cinnamon; the palate juicy but structured with red plum, boysenberry, slight bramble, and a dry, lightly spiced tannin.
