Have we neglected you, darling? Have you watched us dither away the summer with zesty whites and sultry rosés, only to have your range of crisp orchard fruit and ripe citrus continually under-appreciated and passed by? Please, give us another chance! Let us espouse your vast appeal and alluring complexity anew, restoring you to your proper place in our hearts and glasses.

Never knew Chard could dance like that? This is the comely ingenue to win you over. Vinified in stainless steel, Saint-Anne’s take is all about giving Chardonnay’s fruit character center stage — crunchy green pear and apple, light tropical notes, lemon, and a bright frame of slatey minerality. From the French Pyrenees foothills where farmers are able to grow sustainably, the wine translates the region’s sunshine, mountain air, and stewarded soils into a Chardonnay of crisp, clean flavors and a breezy finish.

90+ Cellars

Ironside Reserve Chardonnay

With as much value as it has va-va-voom, you’ve gotta make a date with the Ironside Reserve Chardonnay. Its flavor charms are extensive, with everything from ripe yellow apple and pear, white peach, fresh citrus, and subtle pineapple, to buttered popcorn, honeysuckle, and vanilla cream. An elevated example of predominantly Russian River Valley fruit, this is a pin-up level Chardonnay babe. Absolutely perfect with food or on its own, Ironside Reserve will be a go-to bottle moving into fall.

Double C Ranch Chardonnay

When you’re ready for the real thing, cozy on up to Chappellet Double C Ranch. From a producer who knows how to treat Chardonnay right, this example is a deft balance between poised acid and velvety oak treatment. Rich lemon oil and fresh yellow apple top notes are rounded out with lush vanilla, yellow flowers, and a heady toasted toffee. This Chardonnay shows what oak can do for a wine’s complexity when properly utilized, enhancing the lavish texture and bringing the fruit’s broad flavors into harmony.

Enjoy these wines anytime thru September 15th, at any of our Top Ten Locations.
