It’s been a long time coming, but Sunday Liquor Sales are officially legal. Sunday prohibition has ended and the world will be better for it! It’s timely too, with Independence Day two days after the inaugural Sunday. It’s a good time to be a Minnesotan and an American! #EndToSundayProhibition

We are also launching a fun little Sunday Sales promotion where we will be featuring some killer deals that are only good for Sunday. Plus, if you make it in five different Sundays and purchase something, you’ll get a pretty sweet limited edition shirt that yours truly designed. Watch your email for more information. If your email isn’t in our database, you can sign up here!

Since you’ll already be in here on Sunday, why not grab some beers that will help you celebrate America from coast to coast. I have three awesome beers that span this great country of ours.

And Now, the Brews

East Coast:

Abita Brewing | Strawberry Lager
Abita strawberry Lager
The nose on this one is reminiscent of strawberry cheesecake. Yes, you read that right, cheesecake. Strawberry, vanilla, and wheat melded together. The strawberries aren’t overly sweet but are quite complimentary to the rest of the beer. It’s a nice change from all those citrus forward beers. Refreshing and perfect for your July 4th grilling plans.

Midwest:

Schell’s | Bananas Foster | Weizenbock
Schells_banana Whenever you combine bananas with desert, I will be more than happy to take it off your hands. Now combine one of my favorite deserts with a beer and you’ve made me one happy man. The nose is plump full of bananas which are accompanied by clove, a little cinnamon, and hints of caramel. The taste follows pretty closely, with a little less of the cinnamon, but loads more banana. Who needs desert when you have beer?

West Coast:

Stone | Ghost Hammer | IPA
Stone Ghost Hammer With a name like “Ghost Hammer”, a couple things come to mind, ghost pepper, poltergeist, and a dead Thor. Luckily, Ghost Hammer is a tribute to Stone’s night brew crew and the eerie sounds of a production brewery at night. Generously hopped with the Loral hop, this IPA smells terrific with hints of mango, pineapple, pine, and orange zest. The flavor is balanced, almost perfectly, with malt, hoppy bitterness with those citrus notes weaving their way in. Another solid IPA from Stone!
