When the temperatures rise, so does my thirst for a growing niche in the beer market. Sour beers are becoming more, and more recognized as a refreshing warm weather alternative. Victory Brewing out of the Philadelphia, PA suburbs has been brewing award-winning beers for more than 20 years now. They recently packaged two of their sours in 6 packs making them a great value for the warmer days ahead.

And Now, the Brews

Victory Beer | Sour Monkey | Sour Brett Tripel
Sour Power
Sour Monkey has been around a few years in bomber format. A tart interpretation of their Golden Monkey Tripel, this has a tart lemony sour that hits all the right spots. Brettanomyces adds a subtle complexity that will be more pronounced over time, but I recommend drinking this fresh. This is a winner for tailgating, and porch drinking.

Victory Beer | Kirsch Gose | Cherry Gose
Sour Power Kirsch Gose is a sour for those who enjoy a little fruit in their beer. Bright red cherries highlight this Gose style beer. You might even pick up a touch of salt, but make no mistake the cherries are the star in here. This would pair wonderfully with a mixed green salad with dried cranberries and a raspberry vinaigrette, or a slice of cheesecake.
