Guenoc Victorian Claret North Coast 2014
langtry-estate-guenoc-victorian-claret-north-coast-usa-10387171
Guenoc Valley lies sixty miles north of San Francisco — a breathtaking panorama of oak-strewn grasslands, rolling green hills, craggy outcroppings, and perfect volcanic cinder cones painted with the shimmer of a dozen azure lakes. The 21,349-acre Langtry Estate is one of the largest contiguous private land holdings in California, and among the most beautiful.

The Guenoc North Coast Victorian Claret is a complex blend of award winning wines. Dark ruby in color, the wine has a wonderful fruity nose bringing on black cherry, plum, and blueberry aromas. Rich and soft on the palate, the hints of vanilla and nutmeg, from aging in 50% American and French Oak, add to the complexity and the long smooth finish.

Sokol-Blosser Evolution American White Blend
sokol-blosser-evolution--18275-969z Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol-Blosser were among the Willamette Valley’s winegrowing founders, planting their first vineyards in 1970. On their property 30 miles south of Portland they raised children and grapes, both with success! Some 46 years later the winery is thriving and their crazy white wine creation known as “Evolution” is a crowd favorite. This lush, tropical blend has flavors of nectarine and citrus, finishes crisp and is loved by an overwhelming majority of those who try it.

Schell’s 12pack bottles various types
schells-brewery
August Schell’s is this country’s second oldest brewery with a tradition of crafting German style lagers plus some great specialty ales. It’s still family owned by August’s descendants and it’s still going strong. Their German heritage is proudly on display in their goods and for my money, the Firebrick is one of the best beers this state has to offer.
