The title of this blog says it all. This year it is all about the MANGO. Everywhere I look, there is something with MANGO, and I’m trying to find room for them on my shelves or in my cooler. The best thing about it is that it never seems to last. I’m going to talk about three that seem to have the biggest following, so let’s look and see what all this hype is about.

And Now, the Brews

Lift Bridge | Mango Blonde
Mango Madness
The first and biggest hit of this year’s MANGO MADNESS is the Lift Bridge MANGO Blonde. This beer comes in a 4pk 16oz with some cool graphics that will set you apart at all of this year’s pool parties. As you pour this into your favorite frosty mug you can see that it is a very nice golden orange color. Not much head on this but it’s what you’d expect from a blonde. This beer is a lot better than I had expected. What is good about this, is that it has a nice hint of MANGO, not a big sweet MANGO punch that would normally be used to cover up an “okay” beer. I now know why this is one of the hottest beers of the summer. This MANGO MADNESS beer will go well with any MANGO Salsa with Tortilla chips. I give this 5 out of 5 bottle caps.

Golden Road | Tart Mango Cart
Mango Madness The next one is a beer out of Los Angeles, California, Golden Road’s Tart MANGO Cart. The word on the street is this beer is a huge hit with the beach bums in California. I like it as soon as it hits my glass, what a great color and bright white head. The nose on this is great with the aroma of MANGO being most prominent. I really enjoy the taste of this one, it is a lot sweeter then I tend to like, but it’s so easy to drink. 4 out of 5 bottle caps. This beer will go well with a seafood salad.
6 pk Cans | 3.2 ABV | 10 IBUs

Funkwerks | Mango King
Funkwerks Mango King Last but not least, Funkwerks’ MANGO King. To start off, carefully pour this out otherwise the head will boil over the rim. The color is a weird brown/orange, but don’t let that bother you because the taste makes up for it. At 8%ABV, this beer will catch up to you, unlike the others that are around half that. There is a nice tartness to this beer that will make you want more. This is by far the least sweet of the three beers with is a nice bite of ginger and black pepper. 4 out of 5 bottle caps. Roasted garlic chicken is the perfect food pairing.
4 pk Bottles | 8% ABV | N/A IBUs

Well now get to the store and find a MANGO flavored beer before all the MADNESS is all over!
