Time for another set of holidays where wine will be prominent. These family gatherings are memorable and fun. I had my first taste of wine at an Easter dinner many years ago and it was love at first gulp. I’m pretty sure it was Manischevitz Concord but I didn’t care, it was a great new sensation. As far as Kosher for Passover wine, we have so much more to choose from now. Israel is one of the most exciting wine nations in the world today. We have an excellent Seder dinner choice in the Mount Tabor Cabernet Sauvignon from Galilee. Go for this if you are serving lamb for the holidays. The Beaujolais Villages is a great ham choice as is the fruity Conundrum White Blend.

As a bonus for all of you looking for un-oaked, crisp Chardonnay, check out the Mount Tabor Galilee Chardonnay. It’s an Israeli-Chablisienne, fresh style white. Pair with seafood!

Whatever you have planned, we have a wine to go perfectly with your food and make your holiday special.

Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages

“Strong red-purple color. Fresh red fruits on the nose with a hint of dark cherry. Slightly spicy with a touch of grey pepper, licorice and a touch of rose flower. This wine is very well balanced with a nice acidity and supple tannins on the finish. Pair this wine with terrines, charcuteries, grilled red meat, white fish, cheese or simply as the sole wine of a meal.” – Winemaker’s notes

Conundrum White Blend
Conundrum-White-Wine-2015_2048x “Sourced from California’s premier winegrowing regions, this wine is both exotic and bright, a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. It lures you in with scents of apricot, pear, and honeysuckle, and if you’re paying attention, orange and lemon meringue pie. Initial sweetness is balanced by natural acidity, and we love the hint of oak that plays with flavors of peach, apple, and citrus. The long finish will leave you longing for another glass.” – Winemaker’s notes

Mount Tabor Cabernet Sauvignon Galilee

“Dark garnet in the glass, this wine has a nose of strawberry, black plum, caramel and smoked meat. It offers a good balance of acidity and tannins, with flavors of blackberry, blueberry, smoked meat, vanilla, and mocha. The vanilla flavor is extended on the palate thanks to lingering silky tannins that eventually dissolve in a note of orange zest.” 90 points Wine Enthusiast

Mount Tabor Chardonnay Galilee
Mt Tabor Chardonnay “100% Chardonnay, harvested from three vineyards planted in rich limestone soils in the Lower Galilee. Meticulous vineyard care and close attention to lower yields combined with the unique soil and climate produced grapes concentrated and rich in flavor. The wine went through a slow controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, without the influence of barrel or malolactic fermentation in order to allow the natural grape characteristics and the terroir to shine through.” – Winemaker’s notes
