Graeme Avery founded the Sileni Winery in Aukland, New Zealand in 1997. The Sileni were in Roman Mythology, the companions to Dionysis and were said to be schooled in winemaking and “goodtimes”.  Mr. Avery is a keen business man and had the idea that fine Kiwi wine would do well in the export market. He was correct as the U.S.A. and European markets fell in love with Sileni Wines. In fact, it’s gone so well that he has assigned the management of US sales to his son, Nigel Avery, and set up Nigel and his family smack dab in the middle of the country. Nigel and company now reside in Edina, MN while his office is in St. Paul, working the country from this central location. Nigel is an avid outdoorsman, hunter and former Olympic weightlifter.
