In honor of 2017 being the 30th anniversary of Lakefront Brewery from Milwaukee, WI turning out great craft beer I’ve decided to spotlight two of their offerings. Before we get to those, I’d like to drop some craft beer industry facts with you that might be a surprise. Can you name the first brewery to brew the first US government approved gluten-free beer? If you guessed Lakefront you are correct. They won approval of the very first USDA Certified Organic beer. They also were the first WI brewery since prohibition to use all Wisconsin grown hops, barley, and WI yeast. If you have a favorite Lakefront beer you want us to carry, please let us know.
And Now, the Brews
|Lakefront | Warm Front | Extra Pale Ale|
|Warm Front is a vacation from the typical winter spice beers. It is a generously hopped pale ale that features late boil Citra and Mosaic hops that finish with a tropical fruit aftertaste. Pair with a pineapple chicken curry to complement each other, and keep you warm this week.|

|Lakefront | Fixed Gear | American Red IPA|
|Fixed Gear has been one of my favorite go-to craft beers ever since it came out. It even made an impression on the world famous Hopleaf Belgian Beer Bar in Chicago that is on draft year-round. The malt bill includes a generous amount of 2-row pale, and caramel malts. The malts are perfectly balanced with the classic American Chinook, and Cascade hops.|
